Christmas Book Walk in the Library
Christmas Book Walk in the Library
Karen Kordsmeier

The Christmas Book Walk in our library has been a longstanding tradition at our school. It happens the week before Christmas break each year. Each student receives a free book as a gift from the school/PTO. The children are always so excited about it and it is a lot of fun. We decorate  with a winter or Christmas theme and the children walk or dance around in a circle to music until the music stops. When their number is called, they get to pick their free book from a wide selection of popular titles. We very much appreciate the PTO supporting this activity which allows us to get a free book into the hands of each child. After all - a book is a gift they can open again and again!
