Advanced content classes for identified gifted and other high potential/high performing students are offered at the Russellville Middle and Junior High Schools in math, science, English, and social studies. AP U.S. History and AP Computer Science Principles are offered in the ninth grade at Russellville Junior High School. The rigor of these classes offers students an opportunity to experience a differentiated curriculum at an advanced level. Classes are accelerated through in-depth study and enriched through content appropriate critical and creative problem-solving processes. Advanced content teachers have received College Board Summer Institute, Laying the Foundation, or another approved Secondary course content training.
Advanced content classes and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in all content areas at the high school level. 21 AP courses are currently offered at Russellville High School. Advanced content teachers and AP teachers have received College Board Summer Institute, Laying the Foundation, or another approved secondary course content training. In addition, high school students have the option of taking concurrent classes through Arkansas Tech University, enrolling in the ATU Career Center, and participating in Distance Learning courses offered at RHS.

RHS Students & Graduates Receive AP Computer Science A Incentives For 2021 AP Exam Scores
The Russellville School District and Dana Sumter, AP Coordinator, would like to congratulate six AP Computer Science A students that received monetary rewards from ADE's AP Computer Science A Incentive Program for their 2021 scores on the AP exam in May. AP Exams are scored on a scale from 1 to 5.
For a score of 3, he was awarded $250 and $50 for the RHS Computer Science A classroom.
Brody is a senior at RHS with plans to major in Computer Science at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith.
For a score of 3, he was awarded $250 and $50 for the RHS Computer Science A classroom.
Brandon is a senior at RHS and plans to attend Missouri University of Science & Technology. He already has 3 courses of credit hours from qualifying AP scores.
For a score of 4, he was awarded $750 and $150 for the RHS Computer Science A classroom.
Brandon relocated and is completing his senior year in another Arkansas School District.
Nicholas was also rewarded for his qualifying AP CSA exam score.
Nicholas is a 2021 RHS Graduate.
Andrew was also rewarded for his qualifying AP CSA exam score.
Andrew is a 2021 RHS Graduate.
For a score of 3, he was awarded $250 and $50 for the RHS Computer Science A classroom.
Jamie is 2021 RHS Graduate.
This is a total of $2,500 in student-earned rewards with $500 earned for the RHS AP Computer Science A classroom!
