quay prince story

From the football field to the classroom, Ladarreus Prince seeks every opportunity to inspire others.

Ladarreus is a Sophomore at Russellville High School. He plays on the Cyclones football team and is known to be a good student on and off the football field. As a willing participant, Ladarreus strives to lead by example by making sure everyone is included and helping anyone in need.

Ladarreus says leading with positivity and inclusion can have great impacts. Laddereus commented, “Whether it's a teacher or another kid in my class, my actions can have the possibility of leaving a positive impact on someone and that’s important.” Another part of inclusion is seeking other’s opinions. “You never know what someone else can teach you. I like hearing from different backgrounds because I can learn something new,” commented Ladarreus.

Mrs. Rebecca McMullen, RHS Assistant Principal, nominated Ladarreus because of his work ethic and willingness demonstrated in his classroom interactions. “Ladarreus Quay Prince’s teachers say that he is kind and gracious to his teachers and classmates. He continually asks questions to enhance both his understanding and that of the class and is quick to help others in need. Quay works incredibly hard, and is an excellent representative for the Profile of an RSD Graduate as an inclusive collaborator because he empowers all to work towards common goals!” said Mrs. McMullen.

Ladarreus was recognized at the March RSD Board of Education Meeting for being an Inclusive Collaborator! This recognition comes from the RSD Profile of the Graduate, which outlines the attributes RSD graduates will encompass when they graduate.
